3Model in Control and 4D Pro are not the same

Hi,

I have updated the 3D model file.

The iModel has been successfully synchronized (revit connector) and I can see the new model under Administration -> manage iModel.

Once I open the Control project from Synchro 4D, the 3D model is still the old one.

What am I missing? is there a way to force the refresh of the 3D model?

thanks and regards

  • Francesco,

After synchronizing it make take some time to see the changes in Control depending how big your file is.

I'm assuming you have your .rvt files in the Control documents? If so, did you keep the same name for the updated file when replacing?

Here's a video that may help

  • Hi Thomas,

yes my file is synchronized via Connect MAnager and the file has the same name.

When I open the iModel from Synchro Control, I can see the updates, but when I open the file in Synchro 4D, it shows the old model.

  • Thomas,

just for clarity, here are the screenshots of the two models:

Are there any chances Synchro Pro is caching the old copy maybe on local drive?

    Regards

    Francesco

  • HI Francesco, Just to be sure, can you confirm that you are not opening local .sp file from SYNCHRO 4D Pro, but you are opening SYNCHRO Control project.

  • Hi Manoj,

of course, I am opening the Synchro Control Project.

any updates I do via the SYnchro 4D (like resource groups and user associations) are reflected in Synchro Field, which means the project is the same and the tools are communicating correctly. Of course, I cannot see the 3D model related to the resource groups since the models are different.

    Regards
