Missing some User Fields when importing DWFx

I tried to import a DWFx model (exported from a Revit 2020 model) into Synchro 2017. All Structural Columns and Structural Framings have enough User Fields to use, neither the others, so I'm having trouble when controlling and assigning Resources to Tasks (I need the Structural Columns and Structural Framings have the "Phase Created" User Field like the other objects, too).

Anyone help me please? Thanks and have a good day!

  • Hi Lap,

We recommend using SYNCHRO plugins to export an SPX format from Revit, which ensures all family/type/instance/global parameters are exported as User Fields. Or you can use iModel workflows that are enabled with SYNCHRO 4D Pro 2021. DWFx is recommended only when you need to export textures.

I am assuming you are unable to use the plugin since you are using a much older version of SYNCHRO Pro 2017. I would highly recommend upgrading to newer versions to take advantage of the best of what SYNCHRO offers.

Alternatively, you can reach out to synchrosupport@bentley.com to see if they have archived plugins available for 2017.
