What is the main difference between, or benefit of, using "Inspections" instead of Forms?

As we're setting up the information path ways for our entreprises, we're curious about how best to communicate issues in the field. So far Forms are almost function - but what can we use Inspections for? Is there any way to find more info on this function?

  • The 'Inspections' functionality allows projects to organize inspection forms into a work break down structure - or what we call our WBS tree. This allows for many different types of forms to be added across the project and associated with a specific asset/pay item/equipment. Currently, when you create a form, SYNCHRO provides a drop-down list of your assets to associated that form to. In the near future, inspections will allow bulk import of project forms / form types that are atomically associated with the assets. Therefore, having a majority of your project forms pre-assigned to your assets to give a good estimate of what is needed (labor, time, material) to complete the inspections for your project before they even start.
Hope this helps - feel free to reach out with more questions.

  • Hi Sophie,

All the functionality for inspections is there now, other than the auto generated forms per the WBS. The WBS tree is configurable and forms are configurable. It's just a little more "manual" than we would like. Per our company policy, we cannot provide dates of releases, however I can tell you we already started development on it.

    Hope that helps!
