Problem with the Media explorer

I have uploaded more than 200 photos to the project, but I see only a few in Media Explorer. Sometimes their number changes, sometimes the photos are duplicated.

What could be the problem?

  • Hi Anastasia,

The photos you see in Media Explorer are the ones that have been attached to a Form. You will not see the ones that have been uploaded directly to a Documents folder and maybe seeing duplicates for ones that have been added to multiple Forms.

  • The initial release of media indexing  indexes files that have been uploaded into a form sich as an issue, daily log Etc. We will have a Version 2 that will index Photos that have been attached (Link from Documents) to a form.  this should be out in the next few weeks.    Indexing photos stored in other locations is on our roadmap but will be farther out as we have to handle Delete, rename, move actions.

The Photo duplication after the browser has been idle is a known issue with a fix being pushed shortly

  • Hi Arpit,

    thanks for your reply

I have uploaded photos via the form. They are attached in the Observation. That's why it's so strange that only a small part of all the photos are displayed in Media explorer.

  • Hi Bill,

Could you pls comment about the Date&Time correction?
To the moment we can see the date of Upload use only. However, in fact, we have hundreds of pictures taken a bit earlier.

How could we correct the dates from photo attributes?

  • We figured out how to change the date of the photos. This works by adding data to the file properties before uploading it to Control. If there is a "shooting date" in the photo properties, then Control considers it for the Creation date.
