We are spec-ing systems for heavy Synchro use. We have the options for a 8-core/16 thread high speed Intel system, or a slightly lower speed 24 core/48 thread AMD system. Which would be better to use with Synchro 4D Pro?
Hi Connor,
SYNCHRO 4D Pro does not use multi-threading in most of its functions, so the maximum single-core speed is advisable. However, if the difference in single-core speed isn't too great, doubling the number of cores will likely be more beneficial overall. Think of scenarios where you are working with multiple instances of 4D Pro for rendering, or using the workstation of any other software that uses multithreading.
I would also recommend getting 64GB -128 GB with the highest speeds possible.
This is not an official statement but my personal recommendation. I would love to know what configurations other users here are working with, and the size of models that it can comfortably run!

Thanks Arpit! Overall I agree, this would be a really helpful data point to help users out
Dev team response: Core speed is more preferable since multithreading is used in limited places.
Thanks Jacqueline!
