Good afternoon, tell me, please,
is it possible to create a user field that will count the volume of a 3D resource?
How to do it? Using a script?
The model is made in revit, but there is no volume property in the elements
Hi Anastasia,
Firstly, you should be getting a Volume property as a User Field when working with Revit Models. Which Revit family are we talking about here?
It's better to get these values directly from the modeling application as the ones calculated within SYNCHRO are not going to be accurate, and only works for simple geometries - eg. without cutouts. With that understanding, you can use the following User Field Formula (for Resource) -
SUM(3D.CALCULATE_VOLUME)

I've figured out the scripts a bit. Now my question seems silly. But I had to start somewhere.
Thank you, Arpit!
You can also do this easily in SYNCHRO Modeler but for that you will need SYNCHRO 4D license & Model to be imported in SYNCHRO Control using iTwin bridge.
