Differences between SYNCHRO Scheduler and Microsoft Project

Is anyone aware of any differences between SYNCHRO Scheduler and Microsoft Project? We have a user considering replacing MS Project with SYNCHRO Scheduler so they want to know what SYNCHRO Scheduler can and can't do before getting rid of MS Project.

    Hi Khanh, 

    I don't think we have officially documented the differences between SYNCHRO Scheduler and Microsoft Project. I am sure MSP has its advantages and will let the community provide their inputs, but here are a few high-level benefits of Scheduler that immediately comes to mind -

    • It's completely FREE!
    • Has great interoperability and two-way synchronization capabilities with various scheduling tools and also Excel
    • Seamlessly integrates with other tools within the SYNCHRO ecosystem for 4D and 5D planning
    • Can have multiple concurrent users working on the same schedule, through Control 

    Since it's a free tool, I will highly suggest working on a pilot project and see for yourself if it suits all your scheduling requirements. Also, please go through official training so as to understand the full depth of features and workflows offered through Scheduler.

    where is the latest download for this.  I have a 2020.1 version.  is there something newer??
