Schedule health check

In the schedule health check report that can be created in Synchro the result of the Critical Path Test [item 12] remains on N/A. The critical path is displayed and computed in the Gantt chart correctly.

How can I get a result on this item of the schedule health check report?

Kind regards,

  • Hi Michiel,

Brigt pointed me to your question and I think I can answer it.

Critical Path Test is not the same as the ability to see the critical path in the schedule correctly. This test focuses on assessing the integrity of the logic in the schedule and it’s usually performed manually by the user/planner. That is why Synchro is showing N/A in the results table - you must do the test manually.

The only reason this test is mentioned in the Health Check is to remind the planner to perform the test. All tests in the Health Check are following the DCMA 14-point schedule assessment, point 12 states that you have to select one of the activities from a critical path (randomly) and increase its duration. The resulting impact should be exactly matching the increase. That is this test all about.

  • Hi Pawel,

Thanks for the answer. It isn't mentioned in the Schedule Health Check report or in the help file that the Critical Path Test has to be done manually, hence the confusion.

I think the report should include the text "to be performed manually by the user" or the check should also include this test. Either could be an improvement for future releases, where the last one is the most preferable.

    Thanks again.
