We tried installing Version:06.05.01.05 but it couldn't Revit 2023.
Hello Djahanne,
SYNCHRO Plugins are not compatible with Autodesk 2023 products yet. However, we will likely have an iTwin Connector for Revit 2023 soon, which can be used to create an iModel in SYNCHRO Control.
Hello, we need to update the models to revit 2023 but the only problem is that there is no exporter plugin for synchro with revit 2023, so we cannot make the monthly deliveries to our client. Last year the same thing happened to us when we installed revit 2022, in the revit plugins folder we created a folder that said "2022" and inside it we pasted the installer and then the synchro exporter ribbon appeared in revit 2022. I mean:
I was able to use the Revit plugin for v6.2.1.3 from 2021 to 2022, by copying ExportSP.addin file from the following folder -
%ProgramData%\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\<year>
Any solution???
Hello Alejandra,
This process still works if you copy the add-in file from 2022 to 2023 folder, but you will first have to install the SYNCHRO plugin for installed Revit 2022. Also, do keep in mind that this is not an officially supported process.
Thanks a lot Arpit, it´s the solution we will use.
Hi Arpit
This method no longer work for Revit 2024, which I have copy from 2022 to 2024 Folder. Please help to expedit the dev. Thanks!
But when you copied the file it finally works? please tell me to think about upgrade to RVT 2024. Thanks
No, the plug in does not convert the file at all.
I have installed rvt 2023 y rvt 2022, installed plugin for 2022 , then copied from 2022 folder to 2023 , it seems it recognizes 1 version below. not 2 versios below. Maybe synchro is creating the 2023 or 2024 plugin now? if it´snt i will not be able to install revit 2024
yup, that why we need to prompt on Arpit Prakash , another method is to export IFC or naviswork. However, the element structure will be different compare to direct export from revit, hence you can't synchronise with different file type. Furthermore, only IFC and spx can synchronise properly while naviswork for some reason it didn't work. Anyway, from the releases of plugins, synchro is way behind schedule, hope that they release for revit 2024 soon...
Copying the Addin from 2023 to 2024 will display the Addin within Revit, but will have issues exporting all the geometry properly, and we will not recommend doing that. We are working on incorporating Revit 2024 plugin with the next minor release of 4D Pro, though no fixed timeline for the release yet.
For now, you still have the option to work with Revit 2023 or IFC exported from 2024 using iTwin Connectors, where the tree structure will be familiar.
