Get the volume after Subdivision

Hello, I have a question concerning the Measurments of the volume after subdeviding objects. After I have devided for example a ceiling and then try to get the volume with the 3D Properties, this error message appears: Mesh is invalid after triangulation. Can anyone tell me, how to get the volume of these subdivided objects? Thanks in advance.
