History of OnSite


Bentley OnSite was originally released by Bentley Systems, Incorporated in 2006. At first, the product was called "Bentley CEI ToolSet" but was shortly renamed Bentley OnSite. What follows is a brief history of the product:

Bentley CEI ToolSet XM Edition (V08.09.01.04) - May 2006

Initial release. CEI stood for Construction Engineering Inspection.

GPS Warnings, InRoads XIN file support, InRoads free entrance/exit pipe support.

Bentley OnSite XM Edition (V08.09.01.57) - February 2007

Product rename.

Bentley OnSite XM Edition (V08.09.04.08) - July 2007

Enhanced graphics display, enhanced help, greater stability, InRoads culvert and channel support, Topcon GTS support, line style/width support, major/minor contour intervals, cross section display, profile display.

Bentley OnSite V8i (V08.11.05) - March 2009

Bentley Inspect/Stakeout was changed to Bentley OnSite, Field Product Data Base (FPDB) was changed to AsBuilt, SELECT Server licensing, MicroStation V8i and Bentley View V8i support, ProjectWise XM (V08.09.04) and ProjectWise V8i (V08.11.05) integration, Delete Project, Fillable PDF Link Wizard, Wireless Transfer, TruPulse 360B, Leica Total Station, Raster image support.
