SYNCHRO Modeler - Getting Started

Prerequisites

• Install SYNCHRO Modeler. Make sure to update to the latest available version.
• Have access to a SYNCHRO Control project, having a Role with the following permissions -
     

Getting Started

Open SYNCHRO Modeler via the desktop icon or from the Windows Start menu.

Click on Sign-in and follow the instructions for Bentley IMS authentication on the browser pop-up.


After successful login, the most recent Control Project opens on the Open landing page.

A. Backstage Menu

Click on the hamburger icon to expand the backstage menu to navigate between different modules. Additional modules are available when working within an iModel.

Open

Opens the most recent Control Project and displays the list of all iModels available. Click on the project selection dropdown to search and switch between different projects using the quick search bar.



Click on All projects for a more detailed management of the projects.

iModel Index

This page opens by selecting an iModel from the Open page. This is further covered in the iModel Index section. 

Settings

Provides the following options –

• Choose a Unit system - Metric; Imperial; US Survey
• Control the display of Cost Code assignment information in the element information tooltip
  
  

Full-Screen Mode/ Window Mode

Switches between different window modes.

About

Provides legal information and access to SYNCHRO Modeler documentation.

Exit

Closes SYNCHRO Modeler application.

B. User Credentials

Displays the user profile, with the option to Sign out.

C. iModel Selection

We will see all iModel in this list, Modeler can open any iModel that come from connection bridging (not from SP file upload). Open one iModel by click the iModel and will go to the iModel Index page.
