How to improve 3D performance especially while working on a large project?

Make sure your machine meets the system requirements for SYNCHRO Pro. Press F11 in SYNCHRO Pro and search for SYNCHRO Client System Requirements for more details.

Upgrade graphics driver and configure in NVIDIA control panel> Manage 3D setting. This will make sure SYNCHRO Pro runs on high-performance NVIDIA processor, as sometimes there may be multiple graphics cards on user's machine.

After SYNCHRO Pro is launched, there are options that can be adjusted in 3D View> Advanced to improve performance when viewing or playing animation. In general, they are:

There are several best practices while building 4D model in SYNCHRO Pro:

Start with a clean model and proper 4D LOD. It may not be a good idea to keep all details, unless the purpose of the 4D model is to visualize a particular detailed installation process.

Load only needed objects. When working on a part of the file (e.g. a single building or trade), select the objects you will be working on. Right click in the 3D window and choose Load/Unload> Unload Unselected. This will unload all the other objects from memory (and from the view). This is different than filtering. This doesn't actually reduce the file size, but can help with memory usage.

To quickly load needed 3D objects, it is recommended that 3D filters are set up for this purpose. By location, by structure, by discipline, by level, area/ zone, etc.

Delete unneeded objects, resources and user fields can keep your file clean and reduce the file size.
