This reporting grid shows all the assigned Cost Codes and their Work steps with calculated quantities. The grid follows the hierarchy of Cost Code > 3D Element > Work step. Each Work step displays the Name, Type, Quantity, Unit of Measure, and Formula.
The colored side bar shows successful assignments as green, and assignments with issues as red.
Click on the icon towards the right edge of the grid to delete either individual assignments per 3D element, or the whole Cost Code and all the assigned elements.
Note: Its not possible to delete individual Work steps if multiple Work steps are available per Cost Code. These edits need to be made within the Excel configuration file.
Assignments can be Filter by using Cost Codes, Element property, Work area, or Work step type.
Issues with assignments are largely due to non-linked variables in the formula. These can be remedied through various available options –
Take measurement
Distance extracts the measurement between two selected points in the model.
Length extracts the measurement of the selected edge in the model.
Station Range using stationing for measurement and is only applicable for civil models.
Select Predefined maps the variable to an applicable iModel property.
The widget provides additional options to select UOM of the property being used for calculation. The option 'Link property to the variable name in current work step throughout all assignments' will link the variable to the selected property for the same Work step assigned to other elements.
The option 'Link property to the variable name in all work steps in current Cost Code throughout all assignments' will link the variable to the selected property for other Work steps where the variable is the same in the given Cost Code assignment.
Enter Value is useful for manually entering the desired measurements.
Calculate from geometry is useful when no iModel property for Volume or Area is available.
Unit of measurement, this is to set the UoM for any calculation (Volume, Area or Predefined Value).
When we do not configure the column Volume UOM and Area UOM, here it will ask what unit of measurement to be used.
But if we already set the UoM in the excel configuration, Modeler will not ask again the unit of measurement.
Note:
This tab provides aggregated quantities at the Cost Code level.
