Animation Editor

Go to the Windows ribbon and select Animation Editor.

Creating Focus Time keys

Move the Focus Time Marker in the Gantt Window to the date you wish the animation to begin. Left click in the Focus Time Channel to define the start of the animation by creating a Focus Time Key (Yellow Diamond) at 0:00:00. Move the Focus Time Marker in the Gantt Window to the date you wish the animation to finish. Scroll out in the Animation Editor Window to see the duration you wish the animation to end. Left click at the desired time in the Focus Time Channel to define the length of the animation.
  

Creating Camera keys

Create 3D View Properties keys

  1. Go to 3D View Properties > 3D Notations. Right Click to create a 3D Notation.


  2. Move the Focus Time in Animation Editor to where the selected 3D Notation needs to Appear. Left click in 3D View Properties Channel to add a Keyframe. Move the Focus Time in Animation Editor to where you would like the selected 3D Notation to Disappear. Uncheck the box next to the selected 3D Notation. Left click in 3D View Properties Channel to add an keyframe.

     

Preview the Animation

  1. As you are updating your animation go to 4D Review ribbon and Select Play to preview the changes.

 

Export an Animation - Resolution

  1. To export an Animation go to you Navigator ribbon, and select Animations. Right Click on the Animation to be exported, then select Export Animation from the context menu.
      

  1. Now we will need to set up the layout of the Content. Use the Check Box's to choose the Content you want in the animation. The Content List is set up as a hierarchy, whatever is at the top of the list will view in front of the content listed below it. There is also Shaded and Iray options for visual enhancement.


  2. You adjust the Content settings or add Contents by using the other Context Tabs.
      
  3. You can preview your animation by scrolling through the Timeline and selecting Preview.


  4. Once the Content is set up, we will need to setup the Resolution settings.

    Note: It is recommended to use Codec: for the Compression settings.

  5. Once the Animation is ready to export, select OK (Export). If at any point you need to go back to your project to make adjustments select Save (1), then Cancel (2).
