Batch Inspection Creation

Inspections now has the ability to batch-create inspections for every item in the Pay Items tree which has an Inspection Type and form defined for it in the configuration file. During the Inspections configuration process there is a new Batch button in the interface which enables after the Pay Items tree has been created and the Form definitions have been published.

Click the Batch button to create the inspection forms.

The following message dialog displays:

Press Yes to create the inspection forms.

The Batch generated inspections are auto-named based on the [Item Description - Inspection Type - Form Name - Item Number] combinations from the configuration file.

Note: The Inspection name field is editable.

Each Item->Inspection Type->Form combination would get a single inspection.

Batch-generated inspection forms will start out 'Assigned' to whoever executed the Batch inspection option.  No Due Date will be assigned to the inspection forms.

What if I have existing inspections and click the Batch button?

If the batch button is pressed more than once, the system will compare the list of configured items/form definitions to the list already created to ensure no duplicates are created.

Are Workflows applied to the batch created inspections forms?

Workflows will be assigned to Inspection forms as defined in the configuration file with a default State/Status of Open/Draft. More Info.
