Files


Files is a typical cloud file share interface where team members can upload, update and share files with each other.

  1. New: Click and select Create folder to create a new directory.

  2.   Download : Download the selected folders and files.

  3.   Get a link : Copies the link to the document to the clip.

  4.   Move : Select a folder/file and use this option to move it to another folder. Multiple documents  or folders can be selected to move simultaneously. The following dialog displays to select the target folder:

    Select a folder from the list or click the Add New Folder option to create a new folder to add the document(s) to.

  5.   More : Some more commands for selected folder or file, including Rename, Lock files, Unlock files, Set for synchronization, Set folder access, and Delete.

  6.   Search : Click the icon to display the search field. Enter the search string to search for. Control will search the Documents folders for the string and display the results of the search.

  7.   Recycle bin : Any folders/documents deleted are moved to the recycle bin. This option displays all of the deleted items and provides options to either restore them or permanently delete them.

  8.   Information panel : Displays basic information for the folder/document, including file size, date created, and late date modified. The Audit Trail provides records of when the folder/document was modified and by whom.

  9.   Rename : Click to rename the selected folder/file.

  10.   Lock files : Locks the selected folder/file. If a folder is selected, then all the files within that folder are locked.  A locked file is denoted by a red check mark.


  11.   Unlock files : Unlocks the selected folder/file. If a folder is selected, all the files within that folder are unlocked.

  12.   Set for synchronization : will synchronize folders with the user’s desktop automatically. Refer to this wiki for more information.

  13.   Set folder access : This lets the administrator set permissions for the folder.


    Once the permissions have been set for each role, click OK to save the changes.

  14.   Delete : Removes the selected folder/document and places it in the recycle bin.

Viewing Office Documents

Clicking any office document will launch the online viewer. If the user has a subscription to the Office 365, he may edit the document online and print it, and it will be automatically saved to Share.
