New features for form design

Action Scripts

• If/Then/Else script options: Form definition action scripts now include the option for an 'Else' clause.  
  
  Note: Not all existing scripts will be impacted by this change, but the option will be available if those scripts are edited.
• On/Off switch for scripts:  Now individual scripts can be turned on/off using this toggle allowing users to easily test one script at a time during form development.
  
• Math functions: New script options have been added for 'Squared' and 'Square root'.
  

Workflow Downloads

Two new options have been add allowing you to download your workflow settings:

• Export to PDF: This option exports a PDF file which displays the workflow diagram.
• Export to Excel: Exports a tabbed Excel file containing documentation of the form workflow and all state and transition settings and information.

The latest SYNCHRO Control release includes the following features/improvements:

Improved My Work Widget

The My work widget on Homepage now has filters (My Work, My Role and Shared) to display items assigned to a user, a user's role, or, shared with the user.  Along with the additional filters is more detailed information for each work item displayed.

Auto select time zone when creating project 

Now when creating a new project, the time zone will default to the user's local time. 

The Time zone field has also been made a required field as designated by the red asterisk shown in the image below.

Enterprise level project creation permission

A new permission has been made available which gives a user the ability to create a project without needing full administrative privileges.  The Create New iTwin permission, when coupled with the Reprovision Project from a Template permission, allows administrators to assign project creation rights to a role without giving administrator privileges to that role. 

These roles are set in the Enterprise Role Management section in the Connect portal.

Reality Data Management Portal

A new Reality Management portal has been added to manage your Reality Data associations for your project.  This portal replaces the older Context Share portal which is being deprecated.

Administration panel relocation

The Administration panel has been relocated to the bottom left of the left navigation panel.

Pendo icon relocation

The Pendo icon has been moved from the bottom left side of the navigation panel to the top right side in the header next to the Profile icon. It also is included on the main projects page.

Media Indexing

You can now define access rights to Media Explorer in users’ role configurations. Only users with the ‘Enable media search’ permission will be able to access your project’s indexed data through Media Explorer. This can be enabled from under Administration> Manage your team> Roles> Documents.

The latest SYNCHRO Control release includes the following features/improvements:

General Improvements

• Transition Comments - Transition comments will now be added to the email notifications for the following scenarios:
  • A form is assigned to a person and a comment is provided in the transition dialog.
  • The status of a form instance assigned to you is changed and a comment is added in the transition dialog.
• Guest Access Permissions (Admin function) - When Guest access is assigned to a role, a default set of guest permissions are enabled/disabled which apply to that role.

PDF Planset Improvements

• PDF Settings 
  • The File Upload drag area now remains collapsed when you open the PDF Settings page. Previously it would expand.
  • The Create Revision dialog picklist of sheets is now sorted by Sheet # then Discipline in ascending order.
    
  • In the PDF Settings page, a QR Code icon is now included in the plan sheet thumbnail for any plan sheet which has a QR code added to it. 
    
    
• Documents > Plan Sets 
  • A QR code column has been added so user can now filter by sheets with a QR code.

The latest SYNCHRO Control release includes the following features/improvements to usability:

Clickable Links

Clickable items in the Control interface can now be opened in a new tab in the browser.

Role Management

In the Administration >  Roles management area, the number of users assigned to a role is now visible in the interface:

If you click on the link with the number of users, a dialog displays listing the users assigned to the role.

Form Grid View Icons

In the form grids (My Work, Issue, RFI etc.) new icons have replaced the drop down menu to switch views for the grid:

Clash Detection

Also included in the iModel Viewer is the ability to Create, Run and View clash tests on the imodel.

Change in reprovisioning workflow

Now when reprovisioning a project, form definitions in the target project with a status set to Draft will now be overwritten if the name and properties match with the form definitions in the source project. This is a change from the previous workflow where form definitions that were in a Draft status were not overwritten.

Default Saved View

With the new default save view capability, users can now save a default view of the model that will be displayed every time they open the project. This feature allows users to quickly navigate to their preferred view and streamline their workflow, saving time and increasing productivity.

The latest SYNCHRO Control release includes the following improvements:

• Improved Guest Portal Experience:  The Guest Portal has been enhanced to now include Map, Model and Calendar views, including access to the iModel viewer tools.
  
• Clickable hyperlinks in view mode:  Links within form fields are now clickable when the form is in view mode in the side panel.
  
  When you click the link, the webpage will be opened in a new tab in the browser. You will be prompted with a notice stating the link will take you out of SYNCHRO Control.
  
  
• This release also included multiple bug fixes and performance improvements as well.

SYNCHRO Control had a recent release which includes the following improvements:

• Improvements for the role drop down -  Increasing the width of the role drop down list to accommodate longer role names. Role name drop will automatically adjust to accommodate the longest role name.
• Allow Read Only fields to display in grids - Previously, Read-Only fields from a form were not displayed in the forms grid. Some users want to be able view and sort using these fields. A new option "Show restricted items" is available from the Filter menu.  This option can be toggled on/off and shows the number of restricted fields.
• Support all file types in Photo Drop Control - Added support for non-image attachments in photo drop control.
• Support form definition status history on forms where Status is a read only field - Currently status history is not displayed on any Audit trail area when status field is read only in the form design.

The release also included various Bug Fixes and performance improvements.
