When I zoom in with my middle mouse wheel the zoom speed is extremely fast sometimes, such that when I do one "scroll" of he middle mouse wheel it zooms in/out 100x and makes it very difficult to navigate. Any ideas on how to fix this?
Is your mouse over the element/geometry you would like to zoom to?
In a perspective view, the element under the cursor is used to identify the point to zoom to, rotate about, or grab when panning.
If no element is identified, the ray projection to terrain, background map, grid plane, auxiliary coordinate system plane, or camera target point is used. This point could be quite far away, especially if your mouse is above/near the horizon...

I tested that out and it doesn't seem to be the issue : (
Thanks for responding though. Just seems like there should be a way to adjust zoom sensitivity with middle mouse wheel

Are you using a specialized mouse like Logitech or Razer? They have their own drivers with movement smoothing options that may affect the zooming.
