Hi,
We currently have OpenRoads, OpenRail and OpenBridge DGNs which have 2d and 3d models that upload into iTwin DR and create a mess when both the 2d and 3d models are included.
Is there any method to have a single model (ie. 3d model only) in a DGN file only get uploaded?
Regards,
Mark
We managed to do that via referencing only the 3D model into a container file and synchronizing that container file. However, be aware that this seemed to break a lot of the civil specific functionality in Design Review, such as intelligent profiles, stationing, etc.
Hi Mark,
I had the same though and after some testing, I have come up with this- Create a file with all of your necessary 2D linework to maintain the civil tool functionality such alignments, into one file. Then in the rest of your reference files keep them all 3D by only referencing the 3D model portion of the file. Reference everything into your container file as normal. This seemed to cut down on the unnecessary clutter for us. Hope this helps.
Yes interesting challenge as the Civil parts of Design Review require the 2D "information" to function. However, can you not find the 2D models and turn them off in Design Review and then create a Saved View ?
If you can report how you would like to view the 3D models we can look at how to improve Design Review to cater for your expectations, but as noted by Iwan and Matt, there is a certain amount of information in the 2D models that are required.
