Hi to everybody. How can I customize the file with entities such as ballast, corridors etc like they do with the "ArchPhys" example in this link? https://communities.bentley.com/products/digital-twin-cloud-services/itwin-services/w/synchronization-wiki/55909/modifying-default-mapping-for-ifc-exports
I'm testing several IFC export procedures for a sample rail model and I found out that the IFC export created from the Connect portal or iTwin generates only meshes with a field "Description" in which is reported "Generic.PhysicalObject".
Is there a way to exploit the schemamapping.json file like they do for architectural elements such as Doors and Windows? Thanks in advance for any answer.
Hi Mattia,
I think it is little bit problematic. I am fighting with similary problem at road construction but the problem seems to be connected with IFC 4.3 rc4 format definition which is not standardized yet. But Bentley is multinational member of BuildingSmart so I hope they will tell us more

Can you please drop me an email at tim.lawrence@bentley.com? I'd like to setup a quick meeting with you and our IFC Export developers to discuss this. I think this should be something that can be handled by custom mapping, but we would like to hear some details.
Thanks,
Tim
Ok I'm sending an e-mail today. Thank you
