Attaching a Geolocated Point Cloud

Applieas for *.pod and other formats *.cl3,*.fls, *.fws, *.las, *.laz, *.ptg, *.pts, *.ptx, *.3dd, *.rxp, *.rsp, *.xyz, *.e57, *.zfs, *.txt

1. Create new 3D dgn file in MicroStation-based product.

2. Define GCS (Geographic Coordinate System) already known (Utilities-> Geographic -> Coordinate System)

3. Select GCS only from Projected (northing, easting…) Library

4. Attach local Point Cloud data (*.pod) or any of the above-mentioned supported formats to Dgn file. (Attach -> Point Cloud ->Attach Point Cloud)

5. If the file format is other than *.pod then it first gets converted to the *pod and then gets attached to DGN file.

6. Turn ON Bing map from View Attribute to Verify data is at the correct location. Once all data is placed in the correct location, it is ready to be published into the iModel. 

7. If Point cloud data is geolocated it will perfectly fit on to the map.
