     The Data Manager > Queries feature has been replaced with Data Manager > Tag Management > Query Browser functionality.

  • Data Manager - Queries - Planned Deprecation

    Commencing April 17, 2023, the Data Manager > Queries feature will be replaced with Data Manager > Tag Management > Query Browser functionality.

  • Exporting a Query

    Now when you export a query, the exported Excel file name matches the actual query name.

  • Query Builder - Where Clause

    The Query Builder now includes four new Conditions:

    • greater than or equal to
    • less than or equal to
    • is null
    • is not null.

    For example, 

    In addition, when using the Where Clause with double property values, such as dry weight, temperature, pressure, for example, unit conversion is supported. Therefore, in order to return the correct results, you can now enter the value in Project units.

  • Process Physical and Process Functional Schema Unions

    For query results with combined Process Physical and Process Functional schema elements, editing is available to Process Functional schema elements only. For example,

  • Advanced Mode Queries - Updating Process Functional Component Properties

    You can now edit Process Functional Schema elements for Advanced Mode queries, providing that ECInstanceid, ECClassid, and Model properties are populated. For example,

    You can now update Physical Process component properties for Advanced Mode queries. In order to edit Advanced Mode queries, you must ensure that the ECinstanceid, ECClassid, Model, and Checkoutid properties are populated. For example,

  • Standard Mode Queries - Updating Process Physical Component Properties

    You can now update Process Physical component properties for Standard Mode queries, providing that the Checkoutid property's value is either "0" or is blank. Checked-out components will have Checkoutid values other than "0" or blank, and thus remain read-only. For example, 

  • Data Manager - Updating Process Physical Query Data

    You can now modify tagged or untagged component properties synchronized from OpenPlant Modeler CONNECT Edition, using Data Manager > Tag Management > Query Browser.
    When you refresh the PlantSight Explorer tree inOpenPlant Modeler CONNECT Edition, the updated changes will be visible.

    Whether you open an existing or create a new Process Physical query, it will automatically open in Edit mode.

  • Data Manager Queries Functionality to be Deprecated

    Beginning April 1, 2023, the Data Manager > Tag Management > Queries functionality will no longer be available. As an alternative, the Data Manager > Tag Management > Query Browser functionality should be used. 
    Note: If you want to use existing queries, they must be migrated to the Query Browser.

  • iModel Manager - Role-Based iModel Permissions

    Administrators can now override iModel permissions assigned via Project Role Management > iModelHub apply more granular iModel access, increasing or decreasing the permissions based on Roles. Settings defined in this manner override the blanket Configuration > Users & roles > Service Access and Permissions > iModelHub selections that are applied to all iModels.

  • iModel Optimization

    PlantSight now allows you to optimize an iModel allowing you to divide iModels into logical groups, reducing the size of some geometries as well as improving iModel performance.Simply open the iModel Manager, select your iModel, and from the Options menu, select Optimize. The iModel Optimization Settings dialog appears, letting you customize your optimizations. For example,

  • Role Based Access Control (RBAC) for the Navigation Pane and Configuration

    Visible Navigation pane and Configuration options can now vary by role, based on RBAC selections in Configuration > General Permissions > Administration, and Configuration > Service Access and Permissions > PlantSight Portal. 

    In addition, Configuration > Service Access and Permissions > iModel Hub RBAC selections for example, will determine which options appear for an iModel. For example,

  • iModel Selection

    You can now quickly change to a different iModel by selecting it from a list on a Project menu bar. In addition, you can select the Latest Changeset, or any Named version. For example,

  • General - BECS Dynamic Integration

    BECS Dynamic Integration has now been implemented with PlantSight. This allows PlantSight to query third-party applications or data sources, and then display the results within the PlantSight user interface. To configure BECS connections open Configuration, then from the Connections tile create a new, External connection and select "BECS" from the External Data Provider Type list.

  • Issue Resolution - Workflow Enhancements

    Several improvements have been made to the Issue Resolution service, including:

    • Exporting issues to a local drive
    • Export to PDF workflow
    • Notifications on issues now returns you to the PlantSight portal, instead of the CONNECT portal
    • Improvements to notifications when issues are modified.
  • Viewer - Reality Data

    The Reality Data widget is now available in the PlantSight Viewer. This feature allows you to select the reality data models such as reality mesh 3D tiles, Context Capture inputs, and more, from the Context Share that you want to view in PlantSight Viewer.

    In order to access the Reality Data widget, it must first be configured by adding associations via the Reality Data tile, in PlantSight Configuration.

  • Viewer - Replaces Visualizer

    The previous PlantSight Visualizer has been replaced by the iTwin Viewer which boasts enhanced performance and efficiency.
