Tips and Tricks - Improve visualization experience

We have been interacting with many users. During these interactions, we realized that web browser is not configured to use discrete GPU available on machine. That gives not so good visualization experience. This wiki will help our user community to check compatibility of browser and provide step by step guideline in configuring GPU settings.

The PlantSight application runs in your web browser and does not require a client software or plugin installed on your computer. Lets begin with supported browser,

Browser Support

The PlantSight App is supported on latest version of these browsers.

  1. Google Chrome
  2. Microsoft Edge (The new chromium based version)

Note: Internet Explorer and Old Edge browsers are not supported.

Note: Other Chromium-based browsers will likely work fine, but are untested hence not recommended.

Compatibility

We use WebGL to display 2d and 3d geometry in views.  You can check if your browser is compatible on https://connect-imodeljscompatibility.bentley.com/.
