I keep getting the following message. I know it means there is a problem somewhere on the page but it is very difficult to find the problem. Is there any way of finding the error location?
Also I seem to be having an issue of wire links disconnecting from each other. They connect and show the cross reference then when I return to the page later the crass reference has disappeared. If I open the device ID at both ends and save it they reappear.
The error message didn't appear in my post
Hi Helen.
Internal ErrorError Message: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.TargetSite: System.String get_Name()DeclaringType: ECT.ECAD.API.RowItemAttributes: public virtualMemberType: Method
This error message could indeed be related to wire links on the page. It is known to occur when there are a few pairs of wire links with the same ID, and one wire link is cut, pasted, and then Undo is used to undo the paste. This also results in unlinked appearance. We recommend avoiding the use of Undo. There could be other scenarios that result in the problem.
If you are getting this error message, chances are Validate Page will return the same error message and not be able specify where the problem is, and Update Page may not fix the problem.
You could try using Replace Symbol to replace all the wire link symbols on the page with themselves (use the same value for "Enter symbol name" and "Replace with", repeat for each wire link symbol name used on the page). You may want to backup the project first.
