Does or will the Promis.e Project Publisher support pen tables? I don’t see the option and currently to use our pen table we need to plot using the “Plot” tool in the Plot & Publish task or by going to the Project Manager, selecting File and selecting Plot Page(s). This function seems to support pen tables but Project Publisher doesn’t.
The benefits of using the Project Publisher over the Plot tool is obvious because of the enhanced features in the format such as Hyperlinks and Display sticky notes.
Do you have the possibility to choose printer driver when sending to printer? If yes, it might help to create a copy of your printer driver and set "Default pen table file name" option in it.
BTW, my Project Publisher window looks different than showed in promis.e Help. There is no "Send to printer" option, as well as "Drawing files". See image (captured from SS8 version). I can create only PDFs. Do you have all the options?

Hi Sofia. I know of no method of making Project Publisher use a pen table. I've added your company to the requestor list for enhancement TFS 7070 for this ability.
To make sure the enhancement request is complete, what do they want to use the pen table for? Just changing colors?
Hi Matt,
sorry for the late reply, Well, they want their terminal block to be in colours when printed to pdf while the schematics etc. is in b&w.
Hi Matt
finally I have come up with a workaround that works for me in SS8.
I have noticed, that Project Publisher just opens the Print window for each page.
So it's enought to set variable MS_PLOTDLG_DEF_PENTABLE=path_to_your_pentable. In that case, a pentable is loaded every time Print dialog is opened. Also when Project Publisher opens it.
It's probably not possible to solve it through pltcfg file, because I have also noticed that Project Publisher seems to create temporary one for each page (every page has a diffrent-and-very-long name in Print window title bar).
After project is published, you need to remove the variable.

Wojtek
