workset

When I´d like to create a new Project, I select a workspace first. Then, create a workset. On workset, you have to writte the information about the Project and click ok but wont let me because of that:

What can I do?

Thanks,

  • Hi Aitor,

Do you mean to say that due to the dialog as in the image below is not letting you hit 'Ok' after WorkSet creation?

If so, it is expected behavior, since after creating a Workspace and then Workset, you will be prompted to create a new SQL database. This is essential as Substation stores some data from the DGN in the database as well.

You can follow these steps in the Project Database Utility,

    1. Click on the Detect button
    2. Click on Test Connection
    3. Select Execute Script

You can also refer the below mentioned Wiki Link if you have any further queries regarding database creation.

  • Hi Sarvesh Kulkarni,

I follow the steps you have told me but wont let me...

  • Hi Aitor,

After following the steps that I had previously mentioned were you able to create the database successfully?

After the database has been created, you will get Script Execution Complete message as in the image above. Did you receive such message?

In the image that you had shared at the start, the Server in which the Parts Database Utility is trying to create a database seems to be (local)\BENTLEYECAD, can you please make sure that in the Database Tab, the server that you are trying to connect is the same?

Also, the login name EURO\B335704 with which you are trying to connect to the database was the one used to create the database named Substation?
