Is it possible to have 2 pages open at the same time? Everytime I open a new page, it closes the page I have open. I would like 2 pages open for quick cross referencing between pages.

Currently in Promis.e you can only have one page open at a time. This behaviour is for reason that while opening a particular page Promis.e reads data from database for that particular page. Also when you close page all the changes are updated to database for that particular page.
Can you elaborate what is the actual requirement for having two pages open at a time, what are the details you are referring on the other page while working on a particular page ?

What I mean is that I am building a set of electrical schematics for an industrial machine. There are a number of reasons I might want to have 2 pages open at one time.
1) If i am inserting the same part into a one-line diagram, I want to review which parts to add by having my schematic views open
2) For assigning wire numbers where the wire spans multiple pages it is nice to double check for the correct lable/gauge/color by referring to previous pages
3) If am inserting a new part that is the same part as on a previous page, it is nice to be able to refer back to the previous page for certain details.
There are others reasons I'm sure.
Thank you for your help in clarifying.
Hi Tim,Thank you for the update,If you have inserted a Symbol in Single Line Diagram you can insert the corresponding Symbol in Schematic Layout if all the required details are Present in Part Number by using Insert by Part Number.

For Assigning Wire Number for wires on multiple pages you can user Wire Link Symbol with same Wire Link Tag on the wire on different pages where you want the continuation and you can also navigate between the two symbols as well.

Hope the above details help with the issue you are facing.Regards I Satish Saptasagar
for quick-reference you may just open DGN file with another drawing in Bentley View. Most of time it' makes the job, especially if you open dgn on another display - until what you see on drawing is enough and you don't have to open some promis.e-specific window.
Some v8i editions used to have issues with displaying tags, Connect edition of View seems to work well.

Thank you Wojtek. I am very new to Promis-e and Bentley. Can you tell me what is Bentley View?
