Trying to go back into older files and modify some of the text and tags but cannot select, modify, or even delete old text and tags. The symbols, wires, and drawing elements all work as they should.
I was reading that some of the older files made on a previous package may cause certain things to lock? I have gone through the different levels and unlocked them but still cannot access the info needed.
Even when probing information using the element information tool nothing pops up, I still just receive the element not valid for tool warning on the bottom of the screen. As i run my cursor over it the color changes but no right click available.
After going though the element selection tool I was able to narrow down the problem items as tags located in the ECT_LXV_TEXT level.
Any ideas other than redrawing the whole project to modify the text?
The text or tags you are trying to edit may be have been created in older versions of Promis.e but can you confirm if they were placed in older version by using Promis.e or were they part of some imported reference or copied for other files ? You have mentioned that the tags are on the level ECT_LXV_TEXT can you confirm if the tags were created in Promis.e ?
All of the text and drawings in these older projects should be original and made in the Promis.e software. These files in particular seem to have been created in 2016.Some of the info and formats were likely pulled from older projects than that though.
Hi Jaden,Can you share the Project for which you are facing issue on the below share file link, which will help us investigate the issue. Also can you let us know which page you are facing the issue.Upload Link: https://bentley.sharefile.com/r-r472253fbd5e45908Regards,Satish Saptasagar
I haven sent you over the page in particular that has been causing issues. Basically all of the blue text does not function as desired. Thanks for your time.
Hi Jaden,We looked into the DGN file shared by you and it can be seen that all the elements you are trying to edit are Tags and not Text. And in Promis.e Tags cannot be edited. Hence you can follow the workaround of Unloading Promis.e, the steps for the same can be followed from the below Wiki Link.HTHThanks & Regards,Satish Saptasagar
