HiIm trying out Openplant Support Engineer.I want to create my own catalog of pipe attachment. It should look the same as a included support in the catalog. Only other parameters/measurements. How do I do that?
Can I copy/export a included catalog somehow and use "Catalog Loader" to import it back in?How do I export the catalog data?Or do I need to use the "Component Builder" and create a completly new component modify scripts and stuff like that?

Thank you for posting query in Bentley Plant Forum.
One needs to follow a specific procedure to create a new catalog. If one wants to add a completely new component in the catalog then he must have a python script for component creation and placement.
Steps to Accomplish:
1. Import the Python script. (Only in case of a completely new component)
2. Create a new template. (Only in case of a completely new component)
3. Build the Component using the template.
4. Add dimensions of the component and save.
This should help you create new catalogs.

Ok. Thanks.After a bit of investigating I acctually realize that I want to create a "BasicShapes.ClampedTeeShoe".
What does "add a completely new component" actually mean? If I want to create a BasicShape for example...do I still need to create the script simply so that I get the parameters to be able to define them in the new template?
Thank you for the response. What I meant by "add a completely new component" is that if you want to add an element whose template is not present in the existing Templates.
