I am using the ctrl+c, but I have tried with the right click copy button as well. It asks me if I want to Maintain Device ID, regardless, I get the error right after that prompt. The symbol drops but the x-refs are not working and the symbol doesn't seem to be working.
This is a custom parent symbol and the problem is unique to this symbol.
Hi Andrew,Thank you for the above update, can you let us know if you are facing this issue in a particular project ? If it is specific to a particular Project you can try below suggestion to replace the symbol with itself using Replace Symbol command. the steps for the same are as below.
Open the problem project page.
Select the Replace Symbol tool, the same can be selected by refering from below Wiki Link.
Specify the name of the symbol for which you are facing issue copying, Enter Symbol Name field and the Replace With field( select the Symbol name again and replace the Symbol.
Click OK to replace the symbol with itself. If prompted to replace the symbol throughout the project, do so.
