Background

The Data Manager can be used to view and change data related to the following items without needing to find the items on project pages to get into context menus.

• Cable
• Device ID
• Wire
• Logical Field
• Page Description
• Part Number
• Plug
• Symbol Text
• Terminal
• Wire Link
• Wire Number

The Data Manager also includes a Find & Replace tool.

To open the Data Manager tool

* is used to denote a menu selection that is not necessary in some versions or platforms.

CONNECT Edition

• Select Manage ribbon tab > Project Data group > Data Manager
• Function key shortcut: F2 > M > PD
  • If the Manage tab is already the active tab: F3 > PD
    
• Enter Data Manager into the Search Ribbon (F4) box

• From the Tasks or ribbon area, select Review/Revise > *Revision Management > Data Manager
