While a symbol or macro is at the mouse cursor for placement, it will be redrawn whenever the mouse is moved. For large symbols and macros, this can take some time and can be annoying.
To improve the rate at which the items are redrawn, increase the values for the AutoCAD system variables DRAGP1 and DRAGP2. The default values may vary based on the AutoCAD version being used and you can experiment with different values until satisfied. Increasing the values to at least 50 is recommended. To do this type the following at the AutoCAD command prompt:
Note: these are AutoCAD variables, not promis•e variables, and affect plain AutoCAD as well. In other words, this is not a problem caused by promis•e. Consult AutoCAD help for details.
