The Export Catalog tool is used to export a selection of symbols, or macros, or title blocks from a catalog, or to export an entire catalog, for the purpose of archiving or distributing the items to another user.
Exporting a catalog results in a single archive file with a .CTLG extension. This file can be restored using Import Catalog.
Select a catalog in Catalog Manager then click the Export Catalog button.
Right-click the name of a catalog in Catalog Manager and select "Export Catalog". This will export the entire catalog.
Select one or multiple catalog items in the right-hand pane of Catalog Manager, then right-click the selection to chose Export Catalog. This will export only the selected items.
To export multiple individual items:
Drill into the catalog in the tree on the left side of Catalog Manager. Select the Symbols, Macros, TitleBlocks, or Families group. In the right-hand pane, select the items to be exported. Use the CTRL and SHIFT keys along with the mouse as with standard Windows applications. CTRL+A to "select all" also works. Right-click the selection and choose Export Catalog.
