To open Insert Symbol By Name

Within the Electrical workflow

  • Select 2D Design ribbon tab > Components group > Insert Symbol
    • Function key shortcut: F2 > D > OW
      • If the 2D Design ribbon tab is already the active tab: F3 > OW
  • Select 3D Design ribbon tab > Components group > Insert Substation Objects > Insert Symbol By name
    • Function key shortcut: F2 > L > CQ > Insert Symbol By Name
    • If the 3D Design ribbon tab is already the active tab:  F3 > CQ
  • Space bar shortcut: SPACE > C

  • From the Tasks or ribbon area, select Design > *Components > Insert Symbol By Name
  • From the Tasks or ribbon area, select  Pneumatic/Hydraulic > *Components > Insert Symbol By Name  (Promis.e only)
  • Key-in: ECAD EXEC BYNAME
  • Key-in for promis.e for AutoCAD: ECAD_EXEC_BYNAME

  • From the Tasks or ribbon area, select Schematic Design > *Insert Components > Insert Symbol By Name
