I have a polygon collection of county boundaries that i am bringing in from an oracle database. I am bringing in other features (lines and points) and then using the polygon feature to clip unwanted features outside of the county boundary.
what i have found is that I can use the polygon shape to clip the reference but doing so is hit or miss.What i mean by that is that only some of the polygons can be used as a clip while others cannot.There is no difference that i can tell between the polygon's I've tried bringing them in as a solid and hole both so the same symptoms.
Has anyone else had this issue? and is there a work around?
Problem we were having ended up being to many segments in the geometry, we ran a "simplify geometry" routine in oracle and it cleaned it up and resolved the issue.
