Hi Are there any news on support for SQL Server 2008 Spatial? As far as I can see Bentley Map (or MicroStation) doesn't support SQL Spatial at all?
As far as I can see (and search) the latest reply to the question was november 11. 2007 by Keith Raymond, Bentley: "Bentley is extremely interested in SQL Server 2008 with spatial support and it is in our plans for sure." ...isn't there any news from Bentley.

Anders;
From what I know, support for SQL Server is on the list and will be in a future release.

Any Spatial news yet?
or release dates / works in progress?
Anything that we can start to set migration dates for at all?
Mayby any news in this topic ?
...as previously mentioned in this thread, we are working on adding native SQL Server Spatial support to Bentley Map in a future release. This support will parallel our existing Oracle Spatial support. However for now, the Bentley Map FME Extension can be used for SQL Server Spatial read/write. For more information please see the "FME Extension" section of "What's New?" from the latest Bentley Map V8i (SELECTseries 1) 08.11.07.113 product ReadMe.

Jeff Bielefeld [Bentley]
Can i use FME Extension with Bentley Powermap v8i Select Series 1
...no, the Bentley PowerMap product does not contain the Bentley Map FME Extension functionality.

Jeff,
All I can say is "Finally!". Can you give any guess as to what time frame that might be?
Also, since SQL Server's spatial data support is more limited than Oracle's, namely linestring vs curvestring, what is your thinking as to how this might play out in BM and PM products? Would you expect that applications based on BM would limit element choice to those that could be represented exactly in SQL Server or would you expect the BM to spatial data access layer to segmentize any curves?
