Support for WMTS

WMTS is not supported in MicroStation. And unfortunately it seems it will be also not supported in MicroStation CONNECT Edition ... at least doesn't work in the current EAP2 testing version.

To bad. The Norwegian Mapping Authority delivers both WMS and WMTS maps, but the WMS has a daily limit of 300 views/calls to the server. The WMTS has a limit of 10000 views/calls.

The refresh problem you are mentioning is because the WMS server you are using seems very slow, so until we have the correct data from the server we are displaying the resolution of the data we already have, allowing the display to not freeze. If you want to go back to the old display just check out the Use Independent.... parameter below.

Please watch the video again. At some zoom level it shows both images and never refreshes even after loaded(BTW how to know when it finished!?) but I can force refresh by clicking on WMS attachment or View Refresh. Why it doesn't refresh automatically? Where are WMS errors logged or it can only show the crossed old camera picture?

Yes disabling "use independent process" resolves the issue in V8i SS4 and CE but in SS1/SS2 it works correctly with this setting enabled.

Ah yes I see it. Seem to happen mainly with the window zoom. Not sure what is going on, the server seems often to not able to return anything (a lot of crossed old camera pictures).

I'll forward your problem to some colleagues, since I have no idea what is going on.

Where is the Use Independent parameter located? Is it in the preferences, raster manager, map, or is it a configuration variable? Thanks!
