Raster to vector conversion in descartes

Trying to convert a raster to vector.  First tried attaching the PDF but when I tried to convert by block it kept prompting for enter first point, enter opposite point, enter first point, enter opposite point, on and on.  Converted the file to TIF and when I did the block I would get the same message a before and if I did the image I got an error message Raster image is not in target area.  Could not find any reference to this message in any of the documentation.  Documentation is pretty minimal so I have found anything to point me towards an error.  Any thoughts?  Thanks.

  • I was able to convert your PDF file in Adobe and create a TIF image with a higher resolution (I set it to 600). Your image is Grayscale. I attached the TIF image and inverted it. I created a Color Mask and was able to Vectorize the TIF image. It did not vector the wide gray lines and the large gray fill areas. I also found that I could convert the image to Monochrome and do Vectorize the monochrome image. When I did the convert I lost the same areas that did not vectorize when I used the color mask. The solution is to either create a Color Mask or convert your I mage to Monochrome. Using Adobe you will get a better quality image to use for the Vectorization.
