[BMPV SS4] versus [Microstation SS3] very to slow open

Hi,

I've got a dgn file with 162 sheet models, with microstation SS3 it's take around 5 sec to open and with bentley map power view SS4 (French) it's take around 5 minutes or fail.

Any idea why? because this file has to be use on computer with bmpv ss4

Thanks your file.

I can confirm that the delay is "expected" since Map goes over each model and scan them to review the content. There is any quick work around or something like that. You would need to bring the number of model per design file a bit lower. We never tested that. I would probably try with 40 models. What you get ? And so on.

While MicroStation, I think, only read the first model and its reference. But indeed, if required, this would need to be confirmed by MicroStation support team.

There is also a configuration variable that you can add which will turn off the Dynamic Feature Scoring. I have used this for some clients which seemed to speed things up significantly with large DGN Files. MS_GEOXFM_NO_DYNAMICSCOREDFEATURES=1
