Hello.
I just received update of Bentley Map Mobile for Android and it looks really good. I really like that the snapping function has been added. I'll be spending some time trying it out and give more feedback but for the time being there is one problem I've been having in some cases, not all.
I published an imodel map yesterday and opened it in Map Mobile. When I tap the GPS icon the following message appear: "Map has no geocoordinate data. Turning GPS off." This has happened before but after the latest release of Map Mobile Publisher I published imodels and the GPS function worked fine. In all DGN files used to publish the imodels I've been using a coordinate system for my country: ISN93 / Lambert 1993 (EPSG: 3057). But since there have been imodels where the GPS worked fine I don't think that the selected coordinate system in the DGN file is the problem.
I should also note that in imodels where the GPS doesn't work, I can still use the "Select point to get coordinate values" function (another great addition) and it gives me the right X and Y values.
So, I'm left wondering, why doesn't the map have any coordinate data? And further, what does Map Mobile mean by "Coordinate data"?
Is there anyone that has a solution?
Regards, Bjorn
Hello Jeff; Thank you for your support . I have the same problem with the latest version of map mobile publisher (v05.05.211) Map has no coordinate data . Fortunately I still have the old version (v 03.000110) that works well with the gps.
Bjorn,
Could you provide us a copy of the input design file(s) as well as the published Bentley Map Mobile i-model for review? Please contact me directly via private message if you require a secure upload location.
