Thematic classes lost upon reference reload

Whenever the source reference of a feature is reloaded, any thematic classes applied to said feature in the Map Manager is lost.

This behavior applies to all the methods of reloading attachments that I know of:

  • Reference Manager -> Reference Reload-button
  • Reference Manager -> Right click -> Reload
  • Key-in reference reload
  • mdlRefFile_reload

Interestingly, the behavior is only present if the source of the feature is a single attachment. If two or more attachments, or the active model contains instances of the feature, the error does not apply.

The error has existed for some time now. It was present in the latest build (08.11.09.633) as well as all other versions of SS4 and SS3.

The current state means that lots of work done within the Map Manager could be lost without the user even knowing what has happened. It would be great if this error could be fixed in MR2. In fact, resolution of the error is crucial if we are to embrace the Map Manger's Thematic Classes.

I've created two simple dgn-files that illustrate the problem as seen in the attached video clip. I see that it is no longer possible to attach non-media files to this thread, but I can provide the dgns through other means if neccesary.
