Bjorn,

The current Bentley Map Mobile Publisher process uses the actual element symbology that can be set with the feature class definition in the Bentley Geospatial Administrator or through the use of MicroStation tools such as Change Element or Element Information.

Future Bentley Map Mobile Publisher enhancements are planned that will publish element symbology defined "dynamically" with the Map Manager in Bentley Map or Level Symbology in MicroStation.

Versions I am using:

Bentley Map for MicroStation 08.11.09.503
Bentley Map Mobile Publisher 05.02.01.16
Bentley Map Mobile 0502.01.052 for Android

Does it matter where you set the transparency value, in level manager, element information window or in Geospatial Administrator?

Transparency works with raster as shown in the following examples.

Which versions of the following are you using?

Bentley Map
Bentley Map Mobile Publisher
Bentley Map Mobile

How about when you add a raster. In the following picture the red polygon is transparent but you can't see the raster image through it.

There are no special settings required to make it work.

Published Bentley Map Mobile i-model output.

...which illustrates the following where the source transparent1.dgn shows multiple transparent polygons and a single yellow opaque polygon that are all reflected in Bentley Map Mobile shown at the bottom.

Hi Jeff.

How does one get it to work?
I have a project that contains a number of polygons with transparency of 50. In the dgn file the trancparency displays, but in the imodel the polygons only appear brighter, not transparent.
I have tried modifying trancparency for the level in level manager and Geospatial Administrator and for a single element in the Element Information dialog.

Yes, Bentley Map Mobile supports the display of transparent polygons.
