Hello,

Yes ,Analytical operations such as area to area overlays such as Intersect and union can be performed in Bentley Map.

Bentley Map provides tools to perform a variety of overlay operations.
The resulting overlay is a feature itself. When creating an overlay on two layers, a new layer is created containing the resulting graphical elements. In addition, the properties of both contributing layers are copied to the overlay layer. This allows you to edit and report on the overlay features using Bentley Map tools like the Data Browser.

Only two layers can be overlaid at one time. Depending on the types of the layers to be overlaid, the Linear / Point operation section or the Polygon operation section is activated, offering a variety of overlay operations.

Yes, so we delineate the land use shapes and give them their designated attribute name (impervious, open space, ect), we also designate an over all drainage area ( POI 1, 2, 3 ,ect), we have a shape file with soils data. We currently manually recreate shapes where those 3 shapes overlap and then tag them with the applicable data.

My company does not have Bentley Map. I was hoping Bentley maps had an overlay/union feature so we could overlay those 3 shapes, and pull a report with the POI, soils, landuse, and area of shape.

Does this sound feasible?
