Accessing Point Cloud Tools in Bentley Map - Point Cloud Advanced

Hello,

 We recently moved from Bentley Descartes V8i to Bentley Map and I'm having trouble finding some of the tools I commonly used in Descartes, I'm hoping these are still available in Map. I work with point clouds and want to have the point cloud advance toolbar. I have opened some of my .pod files I created in Bentley Descartes in Map but the point weight appears very high and I can't find the option to alter this, or the point cloud density. The point cloud advanced toolbar was already available in the tasks window when I first started using Descartes (which was only a few months ago, pretty new to all of this) and I don't know how to add it.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Dan and Frank, I checked the version of Map that we had installed and it was not the correct one. We have now installed Map Enterprise v8i select series 4 and the point cloud advanced tools have re-appeared along with other missing menus. However I think I'm still having a problem with it because I am not able to find the map manager. I have looked under file and tools but its not there, there are no icons at the top for it either. I have also tried to create a new file upon opening to see if a new file will have the manager, but I can't seem to do that either, the program just gives me an error message. Any suggestions on what might help?

    Glad to hear that you have the tools again.  If Map Manager is missing, it could be due to a conflict in the Installation.  Did you completely remove Bentley Map before installing Bentley Map Enterprise?  You could try the “repair” option in the Control Panel to see if that will bring it back.  Select the product from the list, then the Repair option, as-shown here, then initialize Map Enterprise again and look in the File menu.
