I would like to use Bentley Map mobile instead of paper plots for field checking topo surveys. Is this something that can be accomplished using the Mobile app?

Yes, Bentley Map Mobile is designed for field checking scenarios. You will need to install the Bentley Map Mobile Publisher, which works with Bentley Map to create the i-models. There are three editions of Bentley Map Mobile, one each for iOS, Android, and Windows devices.

UPDATE: It used to require a Passport, but now with the Bentley SELECT CONNECT Edition a Bentley Passport is Not required. Bentley Map Mobile remains free to download. All that is required is a Bentley login (free registration).
