I work in the telecommunications design field, specifically in fiber overlay projects for existing developments. In the past, it has served us well to import GIS shapefiles for the counties/areas in which our work is so as to use the parcel polygons/lines as a basis for our design. This allows us to create accurate representations of the ROW and lot lines for us to draw and design everything we need. With the amount of work coming we are hoping to do more on the front end, and with that I am trying to add the address numbers (i.e. 1234) for each parcel into the CAD file we use. I have been able in Bentley Map (PowerView V8i SELECTseries 3) to pull in the shapefile and associated information. I've even gotten as far as to manipulate the labeling to show just the address number at the right scale to fit within each parcel polygon. From this point though I am running into issues. I am trying to determine how I can take this MapModel and export what I have shown to a workable CAD/DGN - retaining the parcels and address text.
Drew,
Using the "Map Manager" you can select one or more map layers, then right-click and select the "Export..." command to create a CAD/DGN file. From the Bentley Map help file the following:

My colleague Dan Weston correctly noted that you are using Bentley Map PowerView which does not include the Map Manager "Export..." command. You would need to have either Bentley Map or Bentley Map Enterprise to use the "Export..." functionality.
