Bentley Map, select updates to be posted from parent to child version.

Hi. The post operation supports a few different selection modes. You can post all but you can also post based on the view extent for example. I believe if you select the elements you want to post, you will be able to only post those elements too.

There is a way to refresh an existing version with changes from a parent version. The option is called "Apply parent changes" and you can access it by right-clicking on the version you want to update, in the version selection dialog.

First thing we wanted to achieve was post only selected changes. That is doable by pre-selecting the updated elements while posting.

And the another thing we wanted was, merge only selected updates with the parent version, although in my original question I had mentioned something different since I was trying to determine the few alternate workflows . Although, it seems Bentley Map does not allow this because after selecting Merge to Parent, all changes in the child are merged with the parent , we had to change our sequence of actions to do this, such as only make those updates which are required in the parent version. And then use Merge To Parent to post to parent. And, if there are some changes, which should not be present in the parent version, perform them after posting.
