Regarding to your question about application for Bentley View: It's not possible to run own application using Bentley View, this is view only product. You can create own applications for MicroStation or if you are BDN member, to ask for password to allow your application to be started in PowerDraft environment.

Dear Marc Anderson,
i refer to the "Application is not authorized to run on this product" problem.
ZIP is a company distributing an application called MALAGA ( material flow and logistics planning ) running on MicroStation V8i.
We would like to create a MALAGA View running on Benley View V8i.
First tests resulted in the error above.
Can you please tell me about the step(s) necessary to receive the authorization key you talked about ?

Since it is a free tool found on the Net, it seems to be with only little hope.

Maybe it is stated somewhere on Bentleys website, then please give me the link, but I really like to know which restrictions there are on running 'homemade' and 3rd party programs (in VBA, MDL or .Net) on PowerMap V8i

As far as I can see I can run VBA's which may run 'plain old' Dll's. Will I run into any restriction here ?

You will need to contact the supplier of the application so that they can get the authorization key to allow the application to run in PowerMap.
