Hi
I have to setup a special coordinat system (Transversal Mercator Projection) to use in the Copenhagen Metro Project.
In the previous version of PowerMap I could do this trough the "Coordinate System Settings" but in the new make of GeoCoordinate system I can't find where!.
When I look in the help file it tells me that I can key-in "DIALOG GCOORD MAIN" and there are a fine picture of the dialogbox --but it does not exist ??
Where to set up a coordinate sytem that is not built in ?
Please do not tell me that it is a option that has been removed :-(
Since all the coordinate system and map projections were mmove to the baseline Microstaiton in v8i, this functionality has moved from the typical Map fucntionality to the underlying Microstation fucntionality. For instance, from the PowerMap v8i documentation.
This is now typically placed in the Tools->Geographic menubar for v8i.

Information related to the process of defining custom coordinate systems can be found in the Bentley PowerMap V8i (and Bentley Map V8i) user documentation in the "Upgrading a Custom Coordinate System from a Previous Version of Bentley Map or MicroStation GeoGraphics" section. This information is also available online at the following location:

New to Bentley products here, so require detailed steps...
Have a batch of as-builts that need to be reprojected to a new Coordinate System, my queries are:
1- I have all transformation parameters of the new Corrdinate System. How do I incorporate them into the custom coordinate system in Microstation GeoGraphics? (shift, rotation & scale.)
Nahrwan datum (using Clarke1880 ellipsoid) to WGS84 datum (realized by ITRF2000 coordinate frame) .
2- Do all cells, blocks and annotations get projected once done?
Thank you,
Zak
For details on adding a user defined coordinate system library and adding a user defined GCS, please see:
http://docs.bentley.com/en/Map/MicroStationMaphelp147.html
All data is transformed however there are options to control how certain elements are transformed. Check the MicroStation documentation under: Reprojection Settings dialog

Map and Power Map provide the ability to define a coordinate system (transverse mercator, Lambert Conformal Conic, Oblique ...) upon one of the various existing geodetic datums. They do not provide any interface to define a new geodetic datum. Is that what you intend to do ? From the fact you have rotation, scale, shift parameters I think this is your intent.
We currently have 4 variations of the Nahrwan datum: NHRWN-O (for Masirah Island), NHRWN-S (for Saudi Arabia), NHRWN-U
(for the United Arad Emirates) and EPSG:6270 (general use). Can you provide us the parameters you need so we can check if any one is satisfactory ?
